The Moore FOOLS was formed as an affiliate chapter of the FOOLS International.
As such, we adhere to the mission statement of FOOLS International and add an additional statement for our local Moore FOOLS
Chapter.
The Moore FOOLS represents the brotherhood of firefighters in the Sandhills
region of North Carolina. Founded in 2003 by dedicated and aggressive firefighters seeking to uphold the rich traditions
and honor of the fire service through the camaraderie and brotherhood that exists through a special bond with all firefighters.
We may not all wear leather helmets, but we call ourselves leatherheads because we have sworn to perform our duty with diligence,
efficiency and courage.
Our goal is the preservation of the traditions of the fire service while increasing
the awareness and need for training. We will always remember the many brothers and sisters who have answered the final
alarm by making the supreme sacrifice. May the good deeds and acts of bravery of those brothers and sisters be passed
on and not go unforgotten.
